I just got the engine swapped into my mustang from the TC. It even starts lol. I need to find out how to wire in the alternator from the TC. I believe its the mitsubishi one. I cant seem to find anything searching on here or Turboford. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I just used my original alternator, swapped the pulley. Then later upgraded to a 3G

Yeah. If I had a choice of reusing a 1G over a fire-prone TC one I would do that. Reuse your old one, then hunt down a 3G and upgrade.

that is not a mitsubitchy ....it is ford , and if you have good connections , there is no problems , I have an 88 TC with a 1000 watt amp , ( my sons car ) and still no problems , butI would also recomend that you use the original , do the conversion

The small case alternator found on some 87/88s are Mitsubishi built. Although there are two Alternators that came on them, one is a Ford like those found on the rest of the line up then the small case.

Ok thanks for the reply's I will most likely do that then. I just preferred the look of the TC alternator and I was worried about my crappy little N/A old school Alt having enough power for the computer controlled engine. The Alternator I have is the one I think decribed most as looking like swiss cheese. Lots of holes and rounded off.

Not much more power is consumed between the old and new :)
