Did the 1984 Turbo converts come with an automatic transmission option??? I found the following vert on ebay and the VIN checks out as a 2.3t car, but looking at the interior pics it looks like it may have been converted to an automatic. The brake pedal looks a bit skinny. Thoughts???

I emailed her for the original auction and all she wanted to do was argue with me.

You could not get an auto in turbo cars in '79 and '83-'86.
And there was no GLX in '84, only L, LX, GT, Turbo GT, and SVO. And the 2.3T was only available in the Turbo GT and SVO in the '84 model year. W engine code = Turbo GT
What you have there is a clueless and or dishonest seller. At least she admitted she doesn't have a clue what the car really is.
It is a Turbo GT with an auto swapped in, a not-factory-correct repaint, and oogly wheels and seat covers.
Without even seeing the Vehicle Certification Label I'll put money on the table that the TR code starts with "2".

There is a white on blue 83 5.0 convertible for sale in NC, and the girl swears it is a GT. GTs don't come with blue interior. The hoodscoop was even missing. Funny how some sellers want to argue about everything.
