other than the intermittent top end miss it was running great, drove it out of town about 140 miles with no problems. got back home and all hell broke loose. it started missing really bad, runs rich. when i put on the timing light it seems to stutter like its got a spark miss.
i got to the point where i swapped everything out (computer/injectors/etc) with N/A stuff and it still runs like ****. No codes. I ran a compression test and for 110-120 on 1-2 and 4 and 90 on 3. they were done with the motor warm (not hot) and the throttle open. IT has lifter knock/noise coming from the area of cyl 3. i know that a wiped lobe or weak lifter will cause a low reading and a miss but i dont think that would cause the rich/loading up would it? im at a loss and am looking at scrapping the turbo car in favor of something more reliable as this is my daily driver and i cant be ripping into it every other night to fix the damn thing.

Did you pull the codes? That may get you looking in the right area if you didn't check them yet. I would say it sounds like a bad sensor.

My 84 had a miss like situation at 5500 rpm and ran rich. My car had no codes. Ran a cold air intake deal and no more. Seems it needed to breath better. Simple and cheap. Then again I have good compression on all four.

have you checked the fuel preasure regulator , and the ECT. my experiance has been that those are the 2 most overlooked , and frequent cause of running rich

theres no codes other than the park/neutral circuit which is wierd. the regulator is/was good as it came off a running car that was 5.0 swapped. it may be the ect as i swapped out shortly before this happened.
