SVO trim question

I aquired some svo sail panels from a local flea market for $20. My question is, is the trim that runs over the door and the sail panel (drip edge) thicker on the svo than a 83 Gt's? Because the sail panel just doesnt seem to fit right. If so is there a decent place to possibly pick up the proper drip edge? I really love the look of the Svo sails on my car but the gaps just dont look right. Any help would be appreciated

Drip rail is the same for both cars, holes are diffeent for the svo sail panels, you will have to drill one more hole and sometime slot the existing holes for them to line up properly.

Mine were installed when I got this car, but when i had the interior panels out, you could see that the holes needed modified a little to get a good fit. I love the look of the SVO sail panels, I just wish I could get a set of "spats" that didnt reuire the rocker molding to look right.
