Mustang Marty just gave $1000 for an unmolested '79 turbo notch a few months ago. Had light (for 27 years) wear, and a mild case of MADS. Original paint, black interior. NW car, so no rust nowhere.

Ok, what the hell is MADS? :?

If you take a look in my album, there are a few shots of the coupe I bought a few months back. It had 92k miles was pretty much original for $1000 (+200 to have the seller deliver it 250 miles). There is no body rot and what rust there is minor and repairable.

After I turned the boost down to stock (the previous owner added a adjustable boost valve) it has runs like a champ. A carb rebuild it in its future though.

C'mon, everyone knows what MADS is! Let's all say it together now:

"Moisture Absorption Distortion Syndrome"

Yep. I think we've all seen the movie: "Mustangs Gone MADS!"

Fortunately, there is a cure - rhinoplasty :tu:

I figured that it had something to do with nose, I just couldn't fit the right words...

Rhinoplasty is nearly complete on mine. Just need to install the fender extensions....

Both the 79s that I have owned suffered, but your poor soul needed some serious help.

Back in March when we had days and days of rain I noticed the the rear was suffering the same disorder.
