anyone going to joliet il to the mustang drags and show on
sat jul 29? the race and show is from july 28-30. thought
about getting a swap space.like to meet some of you guys.

I will be there on Sat. Haven't decided to show or not. My 17yr old daughter says yes, but she's upset she didn't go with me last weekend when the car took a second in its class (80 to present mustang). It was a nice suprise to me, I mean the car is nice... Anyway, I did well because the voters dont like "checkbook/showroom" show cars. Besides, I think it runs better than it looks :D I know some of the Cobra guys from chicagosvt.com really like the car, not to mention it has no problem running with less modded 03/04's.

So.... any body go??? I put the car in the show field but didn't register. I looked at it this way; I paid the same amount to get in, got to park even closer, Parked in a protected area, didn't have to go fourwheelin to park, got to have people admire & comment on the car, hang out with friends and most importantly... I could leave the car open (over 100 in the lot)& unlocked and not worry about it. Also bought Redline Automotive's hood lifts & had them installed there!! NO MORE PROP ROD!!! :D :D If you were there you couldn't miss the car as the install guys said. Plus I was walking around both sides (car show & vendors midway/racers trailers) in my FEP T-shirt.

I didn't make it. I'm getting alot of crap for it.It's too hot for me, I worked outside in this heat all week and wanted to enjoy my weekend in the A/C. From what I hear, everyone has some horrible time slips from the weather.

....And my bro-in-law is dying. He's one of the firemen who have to stand there in full gear all day.

From what I heard there were some new records. I do know that late yesterday alot of cars were carrying the front ends or even standing them up on the bumpers.. I was haging out at a buddies booth & we had one of those damn loudspeakers 15' away from us. Boy, did I have a headache!! :evil:
