Yup, thats one of many intercooler upgrades that can be done for cheap. And when I say cheap...I mean getting the intercooler...and not paying over $30 for one.

It's kind of an "old news" upgrade. I know Chris did that years ago.

The Volvo ICs are "ok". They are kind of deceptive. They look big, but the cores suck and really don't do well at much over 18# boost, at least for very long. They are at least an upgrade over the stock set-up, mainly due to location.

Ive got one I need to get plumbed in. Its got to be better than NO intercooler. Hot air sucks.

yeah... I read the rest of his write up.

But the location ROCKS! It's a great place to put the intercooler.

Yup. Just like stock Volvos and a few other vehicles(Saabs come to mind).

If I recall, I polished the IC every time I waxed the car...lol

Those are chips from the car being on backwoods souther missouri roads.

Actually wasn't talking about any chips, just making shiny teeth reference.

If you like the Volvo intercooler, you would love the NPR. They go for a little more money, but I just dont think you would want for any more intercooler once its installed. It basically installs a lot like Chis did, except its a much better intercooler. A few pics of my install.......

Bob, is that a 2 row explorer radiator that fits so nicely between the NPR?
BTW, I looked at your car on the other thread, it is very nice. I like the uniqueness of it.

Yes, I ordered a 2 row (HD cooling) for a 94 explorer. No issues with cooling at all, it runs really cool, never over hreats, etc. Fits nicely between the outlets. The only thing I dont like is how the upper outlet comes out on an angle, makes the upper hose a little funky, but it works.

Thanks Mike, I like it too ;) I'm used to being low key with my T-birds, this car draws a bit too much attention, but i'm getting used to it.
