I need a header panel for my 85 SVO.

Are there differences between the 84-85 vs. 85.5-86 header panels?

Would I be able to use an 86 header panel on my 85?

The header panels, for all intensive purposes, are the same from 84-86. The 85.5/86 used special headlight brackets that interfaced with the flush mount headlights and allowed mounting to the header panel.

Best of luck finding one. Sadly, repros are no longer being made.

So I would just have to switch the actual headlight bracket to get it to work on my '85 (or switch to the flush headlights)?

I have a friend that has a spare '86 header panel that he might want to sell to me. Thats why I was asking.

I dont think I want to try to switch it to the flush headlights.

Yup, header panels are all the same.

My repros are not available thanks to them being MIA....I am currently on a man hunt to find the guy and my molds. If I can locate and reaquire them then the repros will be available again. Until then even I am stuck looking for used ones....I've got a customer who just wrecked his '84 and I am looking for even just the LH half of a panel that I can use to put 2 together to get his car back together.
