Cool looking Capri, and I especially love the paint job. You have to love having such a rare specimen.

Very nice. Bivouac conversion? "Different in it's own way", indeed. Still has the TRXs even :tu:

Maybe an issue with the forum (pics occasionally act up, just showing a link), or it's the fact that they're hosted on Yahoo! - just a couple guesses.

Just showing a link for me, too.

Now a pic of my own, hosted on Comcast:

... works fine. <shrugs> :dootadoo:

It is unkown how many of these were made but it was very few. In 1979 if you wanted a Capri Convert you had to order a new Capri Hatchback for about 4,700. then it was sent out to have the conversion done at the cost of 8,000. this was added on to the price of the car, then the dealer had to make his profit too. To make this conversion they used the upper rear clip, trunk lid & the top with the frame work from the Mercedes 450SL. So far their is only two known to exist, there is one in a storage/scrap yard in Texas that has the same rear clip as mine. To see how these were put together & more Pic's, See my photo album at:

Yahoo might not allow hot linking. I use photobucket.com. Haven't had a problem yet.

Not a fan of the top up look. But, top down .... BIG :tu:
