Im not a big fan of the wing thing on the back but the rest of the car looks nice. It should run good to.

Not to hi-jack..but mfpmax...

How much of a big deal is it to swap over to a FI turbo engine? Do you think it was worth it? I am seriously considering a turbocoupe transplant since gas prices are getting a lil bit crazy, and i still want a turbo car.

A 4cyl turbo isnt going to save you much in gas.

If you know you're way around a car its simple.

And yes, it "may" not be worth it because if you get boost happy...or can't stand not having low end torque, you'll always be in the throttle and end up getting the same mileage(unless your car is running poorly) as a stock V8.

I managed 23-28MPG, but issues came up and I'm down to 21MPG highway.

Yep what he said.

A good running 2.3t stang will pull down 21-24 in town without a problem IF you can keep your foot out of it. Once you get addicted to boost you find that little needle on the boost gauge floating around 18psi all the time.

Even with spirited driving I still managed to sneak 18-19 out of the car in town.

I dont have any real world highway #s from the car. Every long trip that I have taken in the car consisted of alot of high speed runs and goofing off with other stang owners.

The Mustang's weight must be what keeps the mileage down on those 2.3 turbo cars, because I used to beat the crap out of my XR4Ti, and it averaged 30 mpg when running right.

Yeah the Merkurs seem to weigh less on average.

No, I plan on keeping it stock ( like thats possible) until i really mod it up with Esslinger stuff (the factory is in my town). Besides, I drive on the highway alot and have sort of stopped messing around much since gas has gone up.

And yes that Anny is sick.....v8 turbo....mmmm
