my nephew has one sitting in a barn because of needing engine work. its been there for quite awhile.. was wondering. he doesnt have the money to fix it up.. thought about buying it from him. and how would i know if it is a true anny. its got all the right markings outside.. red with the white stripes down the sides

hey mike if looking from the front into the bay which side will the tag be on? and top or bottom. i think it is a t-top car as well. not liking that because of all the trouble i have had with mine. hate to have another car not able to run in the rain lol.

i guess someone put these stripes on my nephews 84. its red with red int and has gt350 white stripes down the side. but after reading the postings it does have the wanted loovers on the back. the car is in great shape for sitting for 6 years but is not running. 5.0 aod so the cob webs will have to be blown out lol.

still gonna try and purchase it and fix it up for my wife. thanx for your time and info

Pretty sure they could be had in 5.0CFI/AOD configuration also.

What wheels are on it, doese it have a bolt in roll bar or a strut tower brace on it.

There should be a plaque of some sort on either the firewall or the fender apron that sais something along the lines of produced by solomon or something similar.

im sorry about that i always thought it said gt350 on it. but it says gt302 down along the sides with the stripes. i will have to go get the info and snap a picture of it for everyone. its red with white stripes and louvers. i think if my memory serves has the mesh head rests and a grant like stearing wheel. looked at it for acouple of mins while visiting. needs a carb to get running i will try to locate the tags and such off the radiator and door. its looks like all factory stuff on it. still had the ford prem radio in it.

I believe the car you are thinking about here is a Dominator (the one in the avatar). Someone just tried to sell a Predator on here.

What nose are you talking about? If it's an 84 with foglights, that is a half a year GT only part.

Also, you mentioned that it needed a carburetor, but if it's an AOD car, it should have CFI, unless the Predators were converted.

"Is it rare?" :roll: Rare is a relative term. The question is, is it rare compared to what?

Comparatively, the Predator is much more rare, at about 300 built over four years, than an Anny. According to the below link, they had a standard list of equipment, but could be ordered with any additional mods the buyer wanted. That makes each car potentially unique, like a race car (cool), but makes the mods hard to document. As a Ferrari collector would say, "Provenance may be difficult to establish." But yeah: they've got panache - certainly more than any factory car, even more than the Saleens, IMHO. That doesn't mean they're worth a fortune! They aren't. So far, it means only that real four-eye lovers think they're cool, and no more. It's certainly good enough for me.

I too was wondering if those were minilites. From looking at the minilite site they appear to be a 14x6 Sport with a GT302 specific spinner cap.
