Guys,
I was wondering if anybody has good info on the Carlisle PA Car Show. I might be going in April.

Might I find a decent 85-86GT there?
What's the best day to go? (I was thinking Sat/Sunday One night stay)
What's the best place to stay overnight?
Thanks,
Rob

I have debated on when is the best day to go.
Friday usually has the good deals from the beginning
Saturday is when more people/vendors show up
Sunday has deals on the "leftovers"
I would prefer to go on Friday and stay over until Saturday, if I could go for more than one day.
If you go to the Fords only show/swapmeet, you will most likely find a 85-86GT in fair condition.
I would recommend the Motel 6 if you're only planning on staying there one night. It's cheap as all hell and with all luck you'll only need to use their toilet.

I will be going from the 20th to 22nd. ( I bought the season passes this year to all events)
If you want to save the trip, I can scope it out for you on Thursday and post a pic up if there is anything.
The "spring" or "fall" shows are HUGE. ITs everything, there is no fun or show field. Its just stuff for sale everywhere.

I have gone to all three days and found that I like to go on Sataurday. Last year there were two 1985/86 Mustang GT's for sale that were like new for sale, One was a very low milage original car and the other was restored. These cars were at the all Ford Show which is worth the time to go see. There is also a car corral where there is usually alot of fox Mustang's for sale.

I'm lucky, my Wife is as big of a gear head as I am.

From what I am told, the All Fords Event is more than worth the trip.
Since I have four Fords and a Lincoln (which just means that obsession is dangerous thing) ---- I'll be there.
The 80 Mustang and the 82 EXP are my current two projects ---- and I'm missing a few parts (and restoration education). Since ---- in the knowledge department ---- I'm playing "catch-up" to most of the veterans on this site, I tend to ask a lot of very simple questions. I hope to learn a lot at Carlisle.

To 83rsturbo ---------- bring the car!!!
This is not an uppity, country club event. This is for guys that love cars. It's real people that you meet everyday. Lots of them are building cars with little money ---- but they love their cars ---- and they love talking about them ---- not to mention sharing good advice.
Once again ---- bring the car. You'll see better ---- but also worse ---- at Carlisle.

All Ford Nationals at Carlisle is one of the best events, top notch cars and tons of parts vendors. Huge event. I'll be there. Not sure if I will enter the '93 again.
And, there is always a need for more '79-'86 Mustangs, or Fords generally, at the show. So, all entered would be welcomed.

It is well worth it to register just for the parking spot.
