Well... I took the best pictures I could.. it was late. I will post better pictures as soon as I can.

The tires are BFG T/A KDW's. I tell you one thing though... those tires are great... but you feel the road more with them due to their stiff side walls. But that's no big deal for me.
Thanks all.

You mean the wing windows? They were on all power window equipped LTDs. I've actually seen way more LTDs with them (including my three) than without them.

looks EVIL
Marz, like the look. I had been considering those T-coupe rims, but recalled thwt they were on the heavy side (~ 27 lbs IIRC).

Oh ok, now I know. My LX is actually the only one I've ever seen. I've seen a police LTD and lots of v6s, but no LXs.

Thanks guys....
I need to get use to the feel of the car now. The steering rack alone makes car have a totally diferent feel than the GT. I don't know what LTDScott did to that 15:1 rack thats in there... but it really does feel like it turns quicker than the GT's stock 15:1 rack. The new tires help it even more.
The workers at the tire shop were blown away about the car too... they had no idea it had a 5L in it even though the fenders have 5L badges on them. The guy that drove it onto the lift was suprized.

I didn't do jack squat to the rack. It's the same rack in the car as when I bought it.

Damn... well that's interesting then.
The rack on the GT is stock as well and the LTD's feels much more responcive then the GT's! Corse... I'm guessing the owner before you didn't replace the rack.
It's always felt like when I use to drive my old non-power steering 1979 VW Rabbit. You'd feel the grooves and the uneven road. Now with the new tires on the LTD... I notice it even more.

Car definitely has that Highway Patrol cruiser look..... and that is a COOL look as long as they are NOT in your rearview! ;) I have a GT rack on my 85Marquis and found it almost "twitchy" when I first drove it. It is VERY responsive! It really dives into turns well. Reminds me of my old 86Peugeot 505STI. It would have been great except for being an automatic/V6. Now the Marquis is an auto but the V8 seems to make up for that as it really pulls thru and out of the turns! :D
