Just once I'd like someone to tell me what an LS1 can do that a 347 couldn't do better?
(And don't say the LS1 is lighter, because it isn't...)

Happens to be an engine a person got a killer deal on? I almost went with a Chevy engine in a '65 Mustang Fastback project I had - the guy was selling the engine and trans cheaper than I could slap in a stock 302. But, a buddy talked me out of it.

But the engine is only part of the deal. It's all the ancillary bits that end up taking time and
money, since it's not a simple bolt-in affair.
Even if I got the LS1 for free, I'm not sure that's such a good deal.

Then he should have put a mod motor in it.I would have instead of that Junk cheverolet engine.

Mine is different and its a real sleeper ALL FORD!! so far best of 10.98 124mph hoping to best that this weekend in bowling green.

what are your wheels off of?
what size are they?
backspacing?
do they fit bigger brakes?

The car was converted to 5-lug.The wheels are off a 1994 mustang V6 car that came with hubcaps the fronts have been cut down 2 inches.They have explorer centercaps.the wheels are 15x7 not sure of backspacing.
New best after NMRA world finals is 10.80 at 126 mph
