Pics of the fabled non-turbo 4cyl '81 Cobra

OK I finally got them so have fun figuring this out. The white one is the other 255 auto T-top Cobra. I thought you would like to see pics of that too. I realize you would probably want to see the door tag but the pic I took came out too fuzzy so I will try to get a good one next time I go up. I got a pic of the buck tag that you can make out good if you blow it up.

Notice the non-turbo radiator and the instrument cluster.

I see the CBR on the tag. Bizarre. I checked the 1979 Mustang Fact book and it specifically says NO non turbo 4cyl with the Cobra option.

This car also looks to be not too early in the run so I wonder how it got through?

Did you post the VIN already? When you get the door codes and tag codes, post them all. It will be interesting to see.

No I didnt get the VIN. I took a picture of the door tag because that had all the info but when I got home I saw it was too blurry to use. I have to go back up there to get a couple more cars so I will try to get a pic of the door tag then.

But this is not a 79 car, it is an 81.

No I'm not getting the Cobras right now. I took the pace car package instead. If he doesnt get to working on them I'm sure I will end up with them a few years down the road.

Man that 81 is almost like mine. My 80 Cobra is the lighter blue with the same stripe. I have some pictures of it posted in the On Line album now.

You dont know how rare those two Cobra's really are!!!!! Nobody saved them!!! I do have a White 1980 255 (4.2L) Cobra just like that white one!!! (No T Tops on mine)
