Howdy,
I'll attend an IT seminar in Boston on 22nd to 28th of April. We'll arrive on Saturday the 22nd and the seminar starts on Monday, so there might be some time to check out local action. I know others will go to the nearest place to get (more) drunk but I thought I'll be better off if I don't do that every night.

So, is there any events at that time or some 4-eyed people who want to have a chat with a foreigner, maybe show places around or give some insight into Mustang hobby out there? I might be willing to take pics and write a report to our club magazine (not mandatory at all) or then just relax and say 'hi'.
Don't know how tired I'll be on Saturday due to 12+ hours of travelling but Sunday 23rd might be ideal. :D
See ya?

That sounds interesting! Never know what could be found there.
I'll stick to that as it is the best (and only) plan so far. Thanks!
I'll need a cab or hired 'Stang unless somebody is going the same way...

To tell you the truth 80stang, I think I have to go down US 495-that circles around Boston-to get to Fitchburg
I'm new to this area, but I'm sure there must be one or two dozen T (subway) stops just off 495
Fredzilla, wouldn't I take 495 from the Cape?
Do you know if there's T stops at any exits of 495?
I'll have to check the calender and a map
But off-hand I think it might be pretty do-able

slickshift, yeah, you would take 495 north then take Rt 2 west.
then take rt 13 off of Rt 2.. if you serious I can hook up on Rt2
with you..
Grab some more of those Cape Cod guys
and make the trip.. :)
80stang you can take a M.B.T.A bus almost to my front door..

Hey guys,
is the plan still valid? The show in Fitchburg, MA on 4-23-06 8AM to 1 PM.
I can try to get out of downtown to an outer meeting point or taxi all the way or hire a 'Stang (maybe not) or something. I think I'm better off staying out of r12, r134a, fl1a and such bus lines...   unless the instructions are very clear.
Let me know if somebody's going. Btw, I'll stay at Boston Marriott Copley Place, 110 Huntington Avenue.

Well, right now Sundays weather calls for rain.. BUT, if it's a
nice day I will go to this show. I can pick you up at Alewife station if
you really want to go.
Try this link:
http://www.mbta.com/traveling_t/schedules_subway.asp
I think the green line(subway) is walking distance from the Marriot.
You can take it to Park street.. then
change to red line(subway) take to Alewife.
Let me know and I will watch the weather report.
Anybody else up for this..Some neat stuff at this show But it
needs a good foureyed turnout :)

Been in Boston - not in Fitchburg which is really sad. The weatherman killed our intentions to see the show. Thanks anyway Fredzilla, I sure would have enjoyed the meeting and the show as well. Unfortunately our monday got a lot of events (mostly related to eating and b***ing) so I just could not do the meeting with you.
Conclusions;
I really like the city. My second time in US and it sure makes me eager to get more of it, so beware...
6 breakfasts in the hotel - of the price of that I could buy a new hot cam. Motto - 'eat less to get better speed parts' would justify just ok...
Never seen more police cars in my whole life, not to say that I was transferred on the back seats of those every day....well, not police cars anymore, the Ford Crown Victoria taxes were mostly old state patrol cars. Nice to ride a cab with prepped 4.6L modular, search lights, front crash bars....and it was dirt cheap.
Somebody please explain the rules of tipping please. It is something not present here almost at all.
Big salute to you: NO SMOKING in the restaurants. Whoa, the clothes didn't smell bad all the time...I wish smoking gets prohibited here too very soon, although I relax better in the garage than in a restaurant...
One last thing; stop whining about gas price. Seemed to be a hot topic in the newspapers. You still enjoy it 50% cheaper, we currently have $1.65 per LITER here.
Chears, everybody.
