Found a pretty sad looking 5.0 auto 1980 Mustang Cobra Black with Tan interior in a local junkyard. It has the Recaro seats. But the interior is a Tan/brown color. The Recaro's have the same center pattern as the Indy Pace car seats but the side fabric is the tan/brown color. Just thought i would ask since i have never seen this interior color combo before.

We don't have any numbers on the Cobras yet.

They are pretty rare. I have never seen one with a tan recaro interior in person. Also, if the car is original then it is a 4.2L 255ci engine.

The motor appears original. I would assume it is the 4.2 motor.

Its a shame. I would love to find something like that in my neck of the woods.
Weren't the '80 and '81 cars 4.2l, not 5.0l?

I have a 80 Cobra that I purchased new. It is blue with a blue interior. Mine came with regular high back buckets ,2.3L Turbo, and 4 speed.

I will have to dig up some old pictures to post. It doesn't look to good right now. I just took it out of an old leaking garage where it was parked for the last 20 years. I have started a rebuild, not a restore. I want to install a 89 -93 GT drivetrain if I can find a suitable donor car.
