If we could shoot for a Saturday this spring, that would be fine. Well, depends on the workload for me........

As long as its South Central YO :P !

I am in the process of possibly buying a second home in Sullivan county so anywhere along the Susquehanna Valley is good for me!

Ok, well, maybe that wouldn't be the best idea.

As long as I have off work at that time, that works for me.

loutheplumber
02-20-2006, 07:06 PM
well april is less than 2 months away so maybe some planning hould start for this meet

ethangsmith
02-20-2006, 07:31 PM
Good idea. I've got all the thermactor equipment off on the capri right now but I should have it all together and ready within a month or two. It's still driving around now- just very roughly.

Whats the plan once we all meet? Is there anything to do?

ethangsmith
02-20-2006, 07:36 PM
Well, that's what we're going to have to figure out. Most of us know Williamsport- so we know there's not much to do there. Figuring out a cruise route and all that is going to be the challenge.

hey ethan do have a tool to remove the trim from around the windows

ethangsmith
02-21-2006, 03:55 PM
Which windows? I don't have any special tools but I know how to get all the trim off any of the windows without the special tool.

ethangsmith

I'll keep the date open, however, it all depends on the running condition of the capri. It's been really getting bad recently and is really beginning to become unreliable. I am doing work on it again so it's one of those things that it may be running at that time, or it may be dead again.....

loutheplumber
04-13-2006, 08:01 PM
well this trip is less than a week away i think im gonna still go since i havent been to williamsport since january

gregpro50
04-13-2006, 08:06 PM
Can I drive my aero?

ethangsmith
04-13-2006, 09:07 PM
I'm out. The capri just won't make it to Williamsport and back. Well, at least I don't want to tempt fate and try it. I am also going to be busy that weekend now too. I have wedding planning stuff and a bunch of car work to do.

no one else interested. Lou you staying overnight on sat. if so maybe I can bunk with you

ethangsmith
04-19-2006, 08:24 PM
I would really like to get up there and meet all you guys again, but I figured out that the Capri's problems are burnt and leaking valves. I am down to 17 miles to the gallon everywhere on premium gas and I can only do 35mph up hills. It has no power and pings real bad. I think driving it everyday this past summer and over the winter kinda finished it off. I am using it for local trips only. The last trip I took with it (up to Hershey) I had to have the pedal to the floor to reach 60mph. I don't want to have a breakdown halfway to Williamsport. When I get the engine issue resolved I certainly will be joining all of you! Have a great time and I hope the weather holds out!

ethan ill have a complete 85 2.3 in great running condition as soon as i get the turbo motor in it

ethangsmith
04-20-2006, 03:56 PM
Cool. How many miles were on it?

loutheplumber
04-20-2006, 09:01 PM
well the speedo says 4500 plus 500-700 for this weekend then a little driving till the turbo motor gets dropped in

ethangsmith
04-20-2006, 09:07 PM
Cool. So is that 45,000 or 145,000 though? I would imagine its only 45K considering how good the car was when you got it. All I need is shop space. That's my snag. I have no where to work on or store the capri. All my work I do is out on the street so it must be completed by sundown.

loutheplumber
04-20-2006, 09:20 PM
it says 4,500 its probally 104,500 actual miles

ethangsmith
04-20-2006, 09:34 PM
Ok, now I got it. I thought you had forgotten a 0. I ran the Capri tonight and it's really sounding funny. A lot of valve noise and power loss. I am driving it only 1 or 2 days a week and only to work and back or just locally to run an arrand or something. I don't trust it to go more than 10 miles in one direction and back. I love the car, but I need space to work on it too.

loutheplumber
04-20-2006, 10:29 PM
well if yu have time you could always bring the old areo up

ethangsmith
04-21-2006, 04:07 PM
Well, I was going to, but some things have come up. My cousin was in a car accident and is in a coma in the hospital so if he gets out of the trauma unit, our family is going in to see him. If he stays in the trauma unit, I will be going up to Gretchen's for the day and probably going out with her family somewhere.

loutheplumber
07-11-2006, 05:11 PM
well do we want to plan an fall o6 meet as soon as my turbo gets back here i should be ready

ethangsmith
07-11-2006, 05:34 PM
I don't think the capri will be ready, but I could always bring the white stang.

83rsturbo
07-11-2006, 07:27 PM
sure why not but we'll have to post it in mercury rising so the other capri's see it
