Not knocking on the 'Bird, but why not a mustang? Or maybe a Mark VII?
I'm just saying, that's all....

the bird for me is a much better car. more comfortable. plus the 83-86 cars have the best lines of about any 80's car

Yuck.
Come on now. My DD is an 88 Turbo Coupe with a 5.0l and 5 speed in it. I love that car.

But I'd swap everything into a nice 86 TC body in minute. :D

ps. anyone have a nice non-cracked dashboard for a bird they want to sell. That is the only thing wrong with the interior in mine and I'd love to replace it.[/img]

fordguy-
Glad you got it home. Let's see what you got.
78Mont347....sorry, I have never liked the looks of the aero-beaked Birds. Mechanically they have their advantages and disadvantages over the 83-86's, but mechanicals are easy to fix....I just can't get past the looks of the 87-88's enough to ever want to own one.

Not too shabby.
Needs to lose the 14's though.
What are your plans?

fordguy,
That looks like a really clean bird. Congrats on picking it up. So what are the plans with it?

well i miss my 460 powered 85 bird but a bigblock ain't in the cards right now. i have a complete 69 351w i think i'll put in there with a 5 speed. i want to keep it injected. going to be a slow process but it will get done.

The only thing I don't like about the 87-88s is the nose. Probably wouldn't be too hard to swap a four-eyed nose on there.
