I found out that my smog line valve has a crack in it.

Here is what one looks like for a 2.8

For my 79 the part # is D7DZ9B449B which I got from Green sales. I did a search on partsvoice and only one showed up but it was gone when I called.

I have read posts in here that the last letter is a revision letter. So I thought maybe there is was an "a"

So I did a search for a D7DZ9B449A and found one and bought it. Now my concern is do you think it will work? Both the "B" and "A" are stated as the same part name under partsvoice.

Call Green Sales they will tell you what the a and b mean.

The name on partsvoice doesn't mean much.

"a" could mean non turbo and "b" could mean turbo....you just don't know.
