Part Number request...

I'm looking for the part number for the small metal tabs that bolt the lower air dam onto the upper half portion on a '82 GT. They are basically a L-shaped piece of sheet metal with a stud comming out that rivets to the inside of the bumper cover, two per side.

NUGUSM? FOX-CHASSIS? The other resto gurus? I hate driving around with half a bumper cover and a perfectly good air dam in the backyard!

I'm looking at an exploded view and don't see it...do you have a picture?

I'm probably looking at the exact same thing Mike is and I don't see it either.

The thing is, the piece he wants probably doesn't have a part number since it is part of the bumper cover and should never be removed.

If I'm right, best bet is to find somebody who wrecked their cover and have them pull those parts off...or get another bumper cover or fabricate something yourself.

I been looking for a way to fabricate something, but I don't want to half-arse the thing and risk having the air adm faal down the road.

Looks like I may have to run another bumper cover till I figure this one out. Maybe a black '83 LX cover from the wrecking yard?

Search the bumper cover threads. Many people have tossed cracked and busted covers out because they have found better ones. Probably many have some of the pieces you need.
