Correct Gas Cap for 1979-81

What about your gas cap? Is it the color like below or does it have some body color oversptay on it?

i'd be kinda wary of some of the "nos" parts he has. he has a later "nos" cap that says STANT on it.

I called Green Sales about a gas cap and gave them the number he posted on his ebay auction and the person at Green Sales that was the wrong part #. It should be for an 81 E1AZ9030A

This guy tries to find parts that are "close" to what would be more desirable Mustang parts. He then lists them at a premium.

He was selling used parts (which I purchased 1 or two) then had a few "nos" parts which got him hooked on trying to find and sell NOS stuff I think. Unfortunately everything he lists looks to be aftermarket or stuff more correct for other Ford cars and not Mustangs.

I got some D9ZZ (in the original FORD bag...not tagged) set of mirror knobs from him which I can't figure out if they are correct or not for early cars....cause I had forgotten the shape of the 85/86 ones.

The 79s had round ones, my 84 has the ones that are cylindrical and flat on the end, with a taper toward the hole.

That's what I wondered. Then he sold me the correct ones for the bag they came in. I need to ebay them as super duper nos pace car/cobra knobs :D
