can anyone tell me the rules for a nhra leagle roll cage or direct me to a like that will give me the info i need to set up my car to be NHRA leagle?

NRHA requires that you have a roll bar once the car goes 11.99 or quicker. Convertibles are required to have a roll bar at 13.99 or quicker. The roll bar is legal to 10.00. Faster than 10.00, you need a roll cage instead of a roll bar.

thank you for the info, i am hoping to get into the 10s when i compleat the whole car so i was thinking of just starting with a roll cage

You'll be fine with the bar in the 10's. When you hit 9's is time for the full cage.

check out wild rides 8 point bar. I welded mine in 3 years ago and was a great fit. The door bars are contoured to the armrests for max clearance.

i have a wild rides cage. fit great
i'm cutting it out though in favor of a tig welded 10pt cage to get reading for 9's

Wild Rides does make nice products. I would take a moment though and plan for the long term. In my car "career" I have purchased a bunch of parts two and three times as I have out grown them. Just my two cents. I live in Kansas City there is a guy down here who you could probably get 10 point done chromoly cage done for 1500 dollars or less. If this is of interest feel free to PM me, the guy does an outstanding job.
