Question on window stickers….

I have the original windows sticker for my 84’ GT350 I just bought….

Is it good or bad to laminate them? There in excellent shape and I want ensure they stay that way.

Just want to know what you all do…

Thanks

Don't laminate it. The stickum will deteriorate and take the paper with it.

Best thing is to get a Mylar back/sleeve for it. Mylar is inert and won't affect the paper.

If you can't find mylar, a good polypropylene comic/magazine bag with an acid free backing board will still be better than nothing.

Stop by your local comic shop and see what they have...

You are so correct in suggesting this, as those guys know thier stuff about preserving paper
But every time I read you mentioning it, I can't help but picture the comic book store guy on The Simpsons

Very well and I thank you's for the input!

There is a part of the company that work at that has a laminate machine and didn't want to do it with out asking.....thats a pretty permanent decision :D

For fun, go to Kinkos, copy the original in full sized color and then laminate the copy for show. That would be cool.

... copy the original in full sized color and then laminate the copy for show
I often see these at car shows
The original is properly preserved, the copy is for show

I have a scanner and access to a color laser print...that is a great idea!

Thanks!

Is there any way I could get you to measure your original window sticker? I'm looking at doing reproductions for 1986 and older models. I currently do 1987 and up.

Thanks!

Hello,

I have uploaded my scans for you to see
I will go dig them out in a bit and measure them up for you.
I went ahead like suggested and made color copies and laminated them (the copies) for displaying.
The originals are going to go in protective bags that I will pick up at a comic book shop.

Actually, I make them to order. I don't do the "fill in the blank" type that is currently available - I make them fully customized with your car's specific information, including VIN, options, etc.

I have an order for an 83GT at the moment. He is my test model. :D
