EDIT: I will have it home either Wed or Thursday folks

Well I have some extra cash coming in next week...not alot but enough to buy this.

I watched the ad go from 2g's to 1500 to 1k to 750

I offered $550 bux and he has agreed.

My background....diehard Capri fan...but LOVE all foureyes.
Married with 4kids and limited extra funds...but a 1 car garage that I can put it in and tinker with....

Here is the ad....and the pics.

Any input appreciated.....

20th Anniversary California car - 1984 1/2 Mustang GT350.

302 (140K), CFI, 4-speed Auto w/OD, American Racing Rims, nearly new Cooper Cobra Tires (60's/Rear and 70's Front). I also have the original TRX Rims that belong on this car.

Interior is in excellent condition and needs a new headliner (Backing is already stripped and ready for new liner) and dash is cracked from California sun.

Car runs good with lots of new parts. I will also include the X-Pipe, Muffler, Transmission mount, and gas tank needed to convert this car to factory dual exhaust.

I emailed him and ask what it was "IN NEED" of...knowing its not a masterpiece.

CFI Carb needs to be adjusted and the heater core installed, but all in all pretty good running shape

These are the only pics i have....and his camera just got trashed by his kids. I plan to go look at it in person this weekend.
Let me know any an all thoughts..

Since I already KNOW your going to buy it.

Make sure you get both dash badges. I can tell by the passenger side panel that it had both at some point.

If not both, then do what you can to get the Limited number one. If he does not have it, then copy the title before assigning it to yourself so you can contact the previous owner.

i have a qustion is this car special enough to restore or would it be a car to mod and keep factory looks? (CFI CARB? LOL!)

Special , yes.

Same reason you might as well mod that one.

Since it was "special" since birth , there are plenty 7 mile cars still in the wrapper for the purists.

Now mine I catch hell for once in a while , but no ones going to bitch about a solid roofed 5.0 AOD.

Just keep to the obvious stuff. Everyone hates color changed Annys, and god himself hates Aero noses.

no i mean making it faster and stronger f the aeronose...altough i disagree with this sites ban of 4eye conversions....they pass emmissions better than r cars do besides my smog free 79

Damn $550, you can't go wrong, hell I paid $100 for mine and needed everything under the sun and didn't get a title with the car.

damn, $550? hopefully it still looks as good up close. i also bought mine for around $100. this kid had it, said it wouldn't run. my brother and i went over there with some starting fluid and fuel stabilizer. put a battery in it,put the stabilizer in the tank and fogged the hell outta the carb with the starting fluid. she fired right up after about five seconds of cranking. it turns out that the car had been sitting for about five years, and just had bad gas. kid looked a little dumbfounded that we had it running in about five minutes. 60,000 mile running mustang for $100.00. i love finding deals like that, jump on that anny, looks to be a good deal.

Two words:

BUY IT!

I won't go into all of the details of all the good deals I've missed because I hesitated, but to mention just two of them, I did miss a partially restored '65 Mustang convertible by less than 4 hours and a fully restored '67 Buick GS convertible by 4 days.

Dang it. :x Now you've made me mad thinking about them!

BUY IT!

Now I just buy all the good deals I come across.

Thanks....ya its definately VERY clean!
I have done a few things since I got it....just put these GM ZQ8 wheels on.
The 2.2 is not very quick...but the 5spd helps...and its GREAT on gas.
