The screw used to attach int body panels.
What color screws were used for the different interior colors, or
are they all the same ?
I have tan interior with silver head screws.

What year car do you have?
For 85/86 they were black. But certain other colors did get chrome. Don't know the years or the colors exactly. I think blue also got chrome.

I got the same kit. The many of the interior screws were all wrong for my car.
Most of the interior screws for the large plastic panel had these little "collars" on them and the kit didn't give me half of what I needed. They gave me some other kind which may have worked but I don't think was correct.

Doesn't the interior screw head color depend upon the trim level and not the year? I seem to remember that my '85 GS has silver and the '86 GT roller I have has black. I can't remember what the '81 RS and '85 XR-7 have.

I'm not sure what determines screw color, my 84 (gray interior GT) is black, all of my 79s regardless of color have been chrome, and an 83 Capri (blue interior) had chrome too. The Anny I parted out had black screws with the red interior. May be a year to year thing, or a particular option package, such as the GT.

On both my 79 and 82, the door panel screws are chrome. FWIW, when I'm pulling parts in a wrecking yard, I will pull and save as many of these pieces as possible. On a vehicle that hasn't had the panels off before, you can wind up with a lot of correct screws (for future projects) for next to nothing, with undamaged heads. Once they're cleaned up with a wire wheel, it's very hard to tell them from NOS once your're 6 inches away!

Ain't that the truth! I have a box and a half from the various cars I have gotten parts from and after a brush up and a shot of eastwoods satin black, they look new! IT'S GOOD ENOUGH SO I CAN GO TO THE NEXT PROBLEM!
