T-Top map light/Front Dome what color?

Hi,

My 84 T-Top has the map-light and dome combination in the front. The plastic body of the unit is Black.

Is this correct? The black plastic seems to be a service part that would need color dye from the dealer if serviced.

My last T-top aero (87) had a similar set up but it was the grey color of the interior.

Thank you, mine is black but my interior and headliner is Red. I guess somewhere during its life it was replaced with a service part and no one took the time to dye it.

My car has a red interior and came with a red maplight, the replacement I bought on ebay was black.

well considering they came with lights that matched the interior color..yes yours was replaced.

My 84 gt turbo t-top has dark gray interior with a black map light cover. I just figured it was ford emptying out some part bins.

i have the maplite/dome lite too, my interior is burnt orange (yuck) but the headliner is black. i think the maplite body is the burnt orange colour
