special equip list found in my 86 SSP Utah Notch...How Rare?

Here are a couple pics of some rare material. I found these with the packet of stuff in the truck of my newest toy, my 1986 SSP LX Notch ex Utah Highway Patrol. I have found everything including the mint buildsheet to start the restoration process.

Look closely at the top right.....Build date, DSO #, manufacturing facility, and TOTAL UNITS

Anyone have a clue what the total units is all about? ???
Is that 30 units designated to the Utah HWP?

could be, there was only 11 SSP's in Pennsylvania. did you ask the guys over at www.sspmustang.org ?

Not really Eric, just a little...

I already have a mint interior, some of it installed. I have the fenders. I just need an LX nose and a decklid, then it is off to paint. It is just hard to keep it fairly stock....and 86 V8 5 speed notch, it needs some go fast parts...lol

The "0030" total units is how many of the 86 SSP's were ordered by the Utah Highway Patrol that year.

I wouldn't modify it, but restore it...its a nice rare piece of Mustang SSP history!

There was more than 30 in 86. That was just how many in that order batch. There was more ordered, but the total number is unclear. There was one other order with the same DSO for 86 that consisted of 12 units...so far there are 42 86 SSP's from UTah.


BTW, you out bid me on the console delete. Thanks for the last minute bid snipe. I am trying to restore the car to as it was in service.
