i just aquired an 86 ssp notch ex utah highway patrol and am having a little trouble finding information on these cars. I've been to SSPMustangs.org, but still no info on the pre 87 cars. Any information, pics, or ideas where I can get some information will help. Thanks

sorry, i meant pre 87 Utah cars. All the 87 up cars were solid white, but can only find one picture of an 86 utah car. That car was oxford white with the black trim. My car has had the trim repainted. (don't know if that was original or not) Also most of the cars in utah (that have been researched) only had one spot light. Mine has holes for both.

I have the bucktags and VC tags, as I have not yet ran the numbers yet. My car seems to be optioned kind of weird. I do not have the one keyed locks like most of them had. Now, whether or not they were changed is a mystery, lol. I have a ton of research, phone calls, emails, and work ahead of me in this restoration project.

According to my Fox Bible, Utah bought 25 in 85 and X (meaning number unknown in 86). there next buy was not until 89. The Dora sheet you have in the other post may be the golden ticket to the number.

I'm not that familiar with the Utah cars. But the one key fits all depended on the agency and year. For instance My '86 FHP doesn't have them, while my '86 WSP does. But from '87 and on FHP did have the single key sets.
