Well, I got about a good 1/2 days work into getting the cage into the TBird over the past weekend. The main hoop and door bars are left over from it's previous bolt-in incarnation and are being reused for the weld-in version. The primary rear supports are in place and I need to fab up the bits for the X-brace between them. The cage is tied underneath to the SFC's and the rocker reinforcements which will also in turn be tied into a new lower front chassis brace. I didn't want to do a full halo and A-pilar bars on it...at least not yet, but this will still be pretty stiff. Once I get it done, it's back to the painter to have it sprayed body color. I needed to see if I could fit things back in around the cage before I got it all in place, and they will...so less for the painter to mask and be careful around. Then it's time to finally get the interior back into it!

You can use your backseat right?

Not unless they are some "hobbit passengers"! LOL
The rear seat area looks pretty much useless to me. The "cage" however looks great. Did you make it or purchace it?

No plans to use the back seat ;)

I've actually had that cage for 5-6 years now. I put together the main hoop and door bars from pieces we had in the shop (when I worked at KBP). The entire rear bit I just built (took the old C-pilar bars out of it that when over the back seat into the package tray). It was a PITA welding up those bars back there that's for sure.... there were times I was welding right in front of the hood with both my arms wrapped over and around other bars.....
