View Full Version : Turbo Cobra does not have ribbed door inserts either

The Cobra literature says that Cobra's have ribbed door inserts. Mine does not have ribbed door inserts either. I wonder if this is an early production thing.

Mine was built 8-14-78 and Turbo Cobra's was built 10-78

Turbo Cobra do you have a "Sport Wheel" on your Cobra? If so is it brushed aluminum instead of Black?? I have noticed that earlier built 79 Cobra's do not have Black wheels either.

I've also noticed that some of the Cobra's didn't have the ribbed inserts on the doors. Mine have them. Lot's of little odd things!

Is it possible that the early panels are left-over Mustang II or Granada pieces?

Ok, I checked my 2 Cobras today (both 1980's) The White one,build date 11/79, no ribs on panels, The Black one,build date 3/80 has ribs,go figure? Also I have a spare door panel insert of a 80 cobra hanging on my garage wall,for years and it has ribs. Gregg/Oh.
