Louvers and spoilers/wings

Which mustang apoilers/wings will allow use of window louvers? I grabbed a set of louvers from a 79 to put on my 82 that doesn't yet have a wing/spoiler.. The 79-92 3-piece spoiler will work....I tried test fitting the louvers on an 86gt but that spoiler wouldn't work since it goes up past where the louvers would bolt to the hatch. Just seeing what my options are... :twisted:

It depends on the louvers you have. The ones that fasten to the window with double stick tape you can use any wing with. The ones that bolt to the hatch metal around the window with threaded rivets you can only use the 3-piece wing with. The LX GT and Saleen wings will interfere.

Ah, didn't realize there were two different louvers. The ones I have are attached to the metal...maybe I'll go back and pick up the hatch it came from as well...it already had the 3 piece spoiler on it as well. What about the cobra spoiler? Will it work with this kind of louver?

Nope the cobra spoiler wont work either. Either get different louvers or grab that hatch with the wing on it.
