I saw it for sale about two months ago and finally stopped to look at it. Its what I believe to be a 1984 GT-350. Turbo 4 with an automatic trans, T-top. Single exhaust but no 5.0 badges so I really couldnt discern a I-4 vs a 302. Had a 7k tach though. No hood scoop. Looks like its in really good shape but they want $4500 for it. I was thinking about maybe $2000-2500. Guess thats why its still for sale after so long. Anyone have a real world estimate of what these are worth?

THe 84 GT350 AV did not have 5.0 badges on them. They had the running horse and bar emblem instead. It was more than likely a V8 car as the turbo 4 was only availble with a 5spd in the AV models.

If you look at the vin# it will have a "M" for the 5.0 or a "W" for the turbo 4cyl.

$4500 is not a bad price if the car is clean and in good shape. It will take the right buyer that wants a 84GT350 to appreciate the car and pay that much. If the car is in poor condition and the interior is ragged its probably a $1500 car on a good day.

Even then it is still kinda steep. It would have to be a really clean one. I picked mine up for 2k and although it does have its few downsides, it wont take much to bring it back to better then stock.

There is a pair of them in the local ford buyer. One turbo vert and the other 5.0 vert for around 14k figure. If that is what they go for, $4500 doesn't seem too bad for t-top car.

I have a sunroof car (my daily driver) and a T-Top car (serious project). The T-Top cars are rare. Using the rule of thumb of 10% hatchbacks were T-Tops, you can do the math.
Still think the price is a little steep. Use your own judgement. Will probably be a few more years before they gain a lot of value.
Just my opinion.

It would have a hoodscoop if it was a turbo four.

I just looked at again today. Odometer says 56k, 5.0 CFI, really nice interior. Looks 100% unmolested as far as I can tell save for a chrome exhaust tip. But still, $4500 is a bit too steep for me.
