What exactly is the peice of metal for on the bottom of the control arm? The black peice with holes in it? I just bought 2" lowering springs for my car and was thinking of upgrading the control arms at the same time for the rear end of the car.

That must be it, I dont believe I have one on my stock 81 so thats gotta be it. Thanks.

I want these control arms cause they are height adjustable. But they are SOOOO freakn expensive. Know of any other brands that have the same option?

They are expensive cause they say Steeda on them

There are a few others with the same design(or the same thing without Steeda on them).

I know I think Granteliia or whatever makes them, but one of the admins had issues with them.

I wouldn't use control arms with poly urethane bushings on both ends on a street car. They have a habit of binding up when you take corners. Use control arms that have poly bushings on the side that connects to the tourqe boxes and spherical metal bearings on the other side, this lets the axle articulate instead of bind up.

I have Pro3i lower control arms http://www.partshopper.com/shop/Pro3-Mustang-Lower-Control-Arms-79-04-m176.html

and the maximum motorsports are exactly the same but alot more expensive. http://www.maximummotorsports.com/rlca.asp

Like the steedas maximum motorsports LCAs are so expensive because they say maximum motorsports on them.

Check out Global west. I like their Del-A-Lum bushings and plan on getting a pair of the lower rear tubular control arms with the Del-a-lum bushings. Though... they're not adjustable.

The part number is TBF-I... just page down...

So do I, just only in the side that connects to the car, I have the pro3i lcas. Urethane in both sides is fine for drag racing but not good in a handling situation like daily driving or a road course. I dont realy understand how your comment was useful to anyone, it seems like you are trying to say urethane in both sides is great for handling even though you advertised a product that doesn't use them in both sides.

They are 10$ cheaper then the steeda's... And the steeda's are machined. I would go with steeda instead but Im not going to pay those prices either. Thats like 550$ + shipping canadian.

Unless I missed them, those are not height adjustable so they are not what I am looking for.

As far as I can see, so far the best deal are these:

http://www.partshopper.com/images/large/pro3-armsw.jpg (http://www.partshopper.com/shop/Pro3-Mustang-Jacker-Lower-Control-Arms-79-04-m178.html)

245$ Approx. Thats about 150$

PLUS: Street/Race Arms come equipped with special teflon lined spherical bearings on the axle side, and greasable polyurethane 3 Pc bushings on the chassis side.

This also makes sence too me, because they can drop my car 1" giving it a total of 3" drop in the rear or eliminate the drop springs and give me stock ride hieght. Im thinking if no other company shows anything better I will be ordering a set at the end of the month.

I guess I should also ask if the adjustable length upper control arms would be a benefit for me aswell? I will be doing mostly street driving and track racing (a little 1/4 mile but mostly road race) Would I see a great benefit too spend the extra 80$ or should I just stick with stiffer uppers that are not adjustable?

I DID state that they were not adjustable. I was just giving you another option

lol, I skimmed it and missed. Sorry yep you sure did. They look like a nice set, too bad. I wanted the adjustable because a few friends of mine over at e-zmotorsports.ca have the adjustable coil overs and they just dont last and they are very expensive. So I was hoping to get the mechanical version that should prove to be long lasting.
