With 1.9 60s and a 9400 DA. It was hot and the altitude doesn't help either...

I was pretty stoked. Weird thing is I have not done anything to the car since the last time out. I could not break 14.0, was running 2.0-2.1 60s, at 99.xx MPH.

Today was running 1.9 60s and ran a 13.67 and 13.62 both at 100.xx MPH. I only gained 1 MPH if that but for some reason I gained 4 tenths?!?

Temp was probably cooler when I ran the 14s!?!

The only thing I can think of was that I installed a Autometer Tach and was shifting right at 6K rather than with the stocker tach at around 5-5.5K.

Any thoughts? I am also planing on a set of 3:55s, I have the stock 3:08s now. What do you guys think the gears will do for me? With my MPH being so low for a mid 13 second run, I am not sure of what to do next, as far as mods go. Of course, now I want 12s! lol

it's all in the 60 ft. you surely didn't run any better because you wereshifting a stocker at 6000! look at your timeslips the, the lower the 60 ft. the lower your e.t. is going to be. good luck pete

Thanks! Yea I figured traction was definitely a reason. But, typicaly in my experience if your 60' is better by 0.2, your et will improve by about 0.2 but your mph will go down by a few tenths.

Anyway, before the season was over I mustered up a 13.13 at 106mph. I switched to a wet nitrous setup. There is room in there for high 12s. My 60's were 2.1s. That was on Nitto DRs. I think I need a line-lock and heat 'em up in the water. I have been doing dry burnouts with decent results. I still have the 3:08 rear end.

If he picked up MPH he picked up HP especially if his 1/8 mile MPH is higher.

I wish my 13.665 didn't have a 17.x MPH reading because after heading your stuff I know it was over 100 MPH but have no way to prove it because it's not in print :?

Well after I left the 14 second range and into the 13.x's my 1st 13 se pass was 13.746 @ 99.441 with an 1/8 of 8.881 @ 80.243

The best run of the night was

13.665 @ 17.x MPH with an 1/8 of 8.782 @ 80.632 a difference of .389 MPH and if nothing else changed in MPH and I added that to the previous best MPH it would be 99.83 even closer to the 100 mph mark I was looking for. I just will never know boo hoo

Well your car is a lot lighter than mine too also geared outta whack. I would have been curious how it would have run with lower gears. You were running slicks if I recall and I am on DR's.

Our cars are not exactly an apple apple comparision.

Geared out of whack?
2.73's - running slicks which caused the car to bog.
2.2 60'
5.927 at the 330'
11.610 at the 1000'

Yes, my car was lightened, but I had no gear.
