Since we're all talking about the summer heat, storms, etc., how's about something a little more descriptive and fun?

Here's what we'll do:

Go to www.wunderground.com

In the search box at the top of the screen, type in your City, State or ZIP Code, or Airport Code or Country, whichever is best in your situation. Click the little blue square with the magnifying glass to start the search.

It should bring you to a page FULL of weather information for your area.

Scroll down to below the moon phase pictures. You should see something that says "Click here for your weather sticker!" Click that.

You'll see a HUGE variety of little images with weather information on them. Take a look and see which one you like.

Right click on the image, you like. If you're using http://sfx-images.mozilla.org/affiliates/Buttons/80x15/blue_2.gif (http://www.spreadfirefox.com/?q=affiliates&id=58545&t=84) like you ought to be ;) you'll just have to right click and select 'Copy Image Location'. You can then press the 'Img' button right above your reply box, paste the url, and press the 'img' button again and you'll have the neat little image in your reply.

If you're using IE, you'll need to right click on the image, select properties, highlight and copy the 'Address/URL' and then use the Img buttons or tags to insert it into your reply as described above.

However, please do remember no images in sigs. As cool as these things are, let's use them in this thread, not in signatures. Thanks!

well, the storms I wondered about last night are firing up today. I didn't say anything since we're under this damned ridge of high pressure. But there was one hell of a surface pressure gradient out of the south, good strong humid winds and with all the CAPE thats hanging in the air, I thought it might try something.

Convective

Available

Potential

Energy

Its a measure of the atmosphere to produce severe weather.

sort of like the Bulk Richards number, the Lifted Index and stuff.

edit: current heat index is 110

actually... lots of lightning and thunder... but no wet stuff.
and I have serious doubts about it really being 75 like it says

Edit (for the last freaken time): I couldn't get the cali flag one to appear correct.... This was due to the black background on this site.
