That thing is sooooooooo nice!

Love the 'quick response brake valves' sticker.

The blue and white interior rocks.

Thanks for keeping such a pristine example all this time. That car can and will come in handy for questions regarding originality and restoration for folks.

Outstanding to see a '79 in such great shape. Although I am a Mustang owner, I like the looks of the Capri better. (wow, that was easier than I thought). Car and Drivers' review of the new 5.0 82 RS was very favorable back then, except for calling the hoodscoop a "mal-formed wart".

I almost bought the 82 RS instead of the 82 GT. Alas my Mustang club buddies would never let me forget it if I did. I WILL get an 82 5.0 in the next couple years.

The white with the blue stripes look great! Finish off the rest and preserve the history.

Thanks for giving me the heads up to look at these pic's. Your car is AWESOME! I also like the Blue/White interior. It looks very sharp. You've also taken care of the "tall" look by lowering it slightly. Nice job! Have you been taking it to any shows?

To Hissing Cobra: I have taken it to a couple of shows, and it kind of lurks in the back ground because of the "plain-ness" of the total package. Then when someone actually looks at it, the cameras and note pads come out. Every one that looks at it up close can't believe that all of the orginal stuff under the hood is still on the car at 91,000 miles. 3 of the 4 headlights are orginal, the brakes, although getting thin, are orginal, the carb has never been overhauled and still has the plastic 'Idle limiter caps" in place, and have never been adjusted from the factory setting. I still have the hood pad, but it got a hole in it when the belt broke due to the tensioner being too strong. That was repaired with a Ford Recall in 79, and I modified the replacement tensioner for even less tension. Never thought about getting another hood pad when I could, I just thought they would get dirty. The spare tire has never been on the ground. orginal plug wires with factory numbers are hiding under the ground braid. I will do a complete restoration in the future, and I really plan to keep it as stock as I can. The RS badges and strips will probably be painted on, and other small subtle changes, but history will be preserved. Mabe just a little more power, and a 5 speed......mabe...

To 347togo: Thank you for you kind comments. I just posted to your car, and I am honored to be praised by an owner of a car of you caliber...thank you...

I only wish that we could all get together for a photo op....

Humble Neil
