It's kinda almost a 4-Eye, right? In the same way a '69 is.

Thanks but on the GT500, not a snowball's chance in hell. If the GT500 was a possibility, we'd have waited for it rather than waste the depreciation. We paid cash for it and I aint gonna drive it much if at all. I like my truck and my FOX. We bought the S197 for my mom.

Plus the GT-500 is wayyy too much power for her. Heck the GT is borderline too much for her. :D

5R55S? Tremec? I know they're supplying alot of manual transmissions to Ford these days, didn't know they are also supplying autos. I figured they were still using the AOD-E.

Oh wait, they've got a fancy new 5 speed auto for '05, no AOD, duh. Silly me.

Vista Ford?!! Holy Cr@p! That's in my neck of the woods! Nice 'vert! If you ever see a beat-up blue/green metallic '65 Mustang GT coupe, wave. That'll be me.

Funny, the sales folks ignore me when I roll in - I guess they've figured out I'm too poor and must be there for parts.

Enjoy your new ride.

Open roads, open cars!

LOL! That happens to me too. The sales folks take one look at me, and ignore me. The fact that I usually go in with grease all over my hands, and a very dirty t-shirt w jeans might do it too.

AODE's were replaced in 96 with the 4R70W

Really? Hmm, that's interesting. The five oh was also replaced with the 281 in that same year. Would I be correct in assuming then that the modular engines use a different bellhousing bolt pattern than the older pushrod engines?

Lol, which Vista? Oxnard where this one came from? I live near Vista Woodland Hills but the Oxnard lot is where this one was sitting. Thats cool that you're out here still quite close, though.

Thanks for the compliments ya'll.
Still makes me wanna get the Fox running again to show my mom what a real (pushrod) Mustang can do to keep up with her.
