I placed an ad on the Corral a while back looking for slightly used BFG DR's in 235-60-15. A guy contacted me a week and a half ago, sent me pics, told me he used them one weekend and found out he wasn't crazy about drag racing.
$150.00 shipped for the pair!
I am hoping to have them by Friday, they are shipping UPS from WY to PA. Now maybe I can actually launch this thing 8)

I just bougth a cheap set of gabrial struts from autozone and as far as street driving shows, I have much better weight transfer. If yu have some tight struts up front these may help as well. I paid less than $80 for the pair.

Yes I recall you saying that in your last email. Were these direct replacement for the basic mustang or the GT / handing package replacements? Do you still have the part number?

I believe my part number was g55551 I have 87+ spindles but they had the correct spacers if yuo had an 86 and down car.

make sure wled up your lower torque boxes. It is a must. I had a set of these on my car for a bit and the ride was exteremely rough. The provided good traction at the track though.

I have upper and lower torque box reinforcements to install.
You used these particular lift bars or something else?

Was these the bars you used last year that made the car handle crappy and was noisy?

Got the Lakewood bars installed today and mounted and balanced the BFG's on a spare pair of 10 holes. More pics to follow.

no I used the other ones that lakewood sells that are just like south side machine bars. I do nto have any experience with the ones you have. I hope their ride quality is a little better. The set i used was excelent for traction. I am sure yours will be as well. Especially with those BFGs. I checked out yor link. Looks liek these install esentially the same the ones i had but the extra mount that goes to the axel tube will help from movement where I had to weld mine. looks like a good install. Let me know how they work at the track.
