View Full Version : Updated the steering wheel and more ....
I found a good looking 85-86 Mustang steering wheel tossed it on. Also, I had swapped from the white faced gauges LTDScott had tossed in back to Black faced gauges.
I felt the steering wheels grip was too thick for my comfort, that and the T-bird Wheel just didn't look right to me. But I liked the look of the 85-86 Mustang steering wheels and swapped one in. I had also managed to find a black steering column cover that fit the LTD.
I hope this picture works. If not... just go to my Sig and veiw the LTD page and scroll to the bottom.

I felt the steering wheels grip was too thin for my comfort,
put in a 87-89 wheel. It feels MUCH better. Thats what I did with my 86 and it looks stock.

Damnit... I made a typo! I ment it was too THICK... lol Even after checking my work... I STILL missed something cause I was in a hurry. It's been fixed.
Basically, I replaced the thicker T-bird wheel with the thinner 85-86 cause I liked it better in both looks and feel. This means no 87+ wheel for me.. I also don't like the layout of the cruise controles.
Thanks!

You should have painted the white line outside the speedo black. Looks much better IMO...

...and as you can see, I'm quite fond of my thick steering wheels!

I've been thinking of that.... :)
But I also really don't want to change the cop speedo. I know, some people wouldn't care and wouldn't see the point to me keeping it's frame white.
