Well, I had posted earlier about rebuilding my 4180, mainly because of a very annoying bog/hesitation off idle. Well, bought a can of this Seafoam and put it in the tank. Now, I don't usually buy 'snake oils', but I thought I'd give this a try as I'd heard several good things about it. Needless to say,the bog/hesitation is COMPLETELY gone!! I can take off in 1st at 1200 rpm w/out a hiccup. I'm just amazed 8O Anyone else have similar results with this stuff??

I tried this gunk stuff once, it helped out quite a bit.. but that only lasted a few weeks..

Did you rebuild the 4180?
Or are you saying you didn't rebuild, just did the Seafoam?

I use it too. I love the stuff. I pour half right through the carburetor to clean the valves, intake, piston heads, and exhaust manifold and I pour the other half in the tank to take care of the fuel, lines, and carburetor passages.

Just remember to change out the filter sometime afterwards.

No rebuild, just poured in a can of it. I'm sold on the stuff, gonna' use it on a couple other high-mileage vehicles I have.
