it will be easy to swap over so thats no big deal i have the alt and the harness just need to bolt it in and hook up 3 wires, but would the 93 gt 75 amp alt make a diff over the 61 amp? i have eletric fans and fuel pumps and also all after market gauges?right now its having a hard time charging at idle with the fans and fuel pump on i cant imagine what the lights would do when i turn them on.and i know a 3 g conversion is the best but i cant do that right now just wondering if what i have now will make a big diff over the one i have

If you allready have the parts to the conversion; I say go for it. The only drawback is that your stock amp meter will be inop. The same can be said for 3g conversions so it really is inconsequential.,

It probably won't make a big difference. But if that car is starving for juice and you have the parts, go ahead. Just be careful of that main wire bundle as they are prone to catching fire. 8O

Buy a 140A, one wire alt from Summit.
More than enough power, easy to hook up.

well it is 14 more amps you can use total. Now how many more amps at idle isn't a whole lot but more than what yu have now. It will help out some but not be a cure all. Since you have the parts I say go ahead and do it. Then think about teh 3g upgrade in the future.
