I was thinking about getting motorsports c springs in a couple weeks and I would like to see what they look like on other 4-eyed cars. So if you got them I would appriciate if you would post up a pic so I can see the ride height. Also if you would share any problems or good things about them and what you have done to your car suspension wise that would be cool too.

check my album out. i got c springs on my 85. I had the normal rear end sag. I hoped the springs would fix it. It helped but didnt totally do it. The ride is alittle more harsh BUT the cornering is outstanding and the car is more responsive. All in all Im glad I got mine in. Im gonna be cutting a bit off the front springs here soon to drop the front alittle more when I get the 87 front brake swap goin. Good Luck.

Did you just put the c-springs in the rear? Did you use the isolators on them? I like the way it sits although I would like it alittle lower than yours in the front. I think it would look better alittle lower in the front than the back.

The '86 GT in my signature has uncut B springs and 225/50/16 tires.
B springs are variable rate C springs. The ride heights for both sets are supposed to be the same.

I have C's with Tokico Illuminas on my 84 along with all kinds of other suspension and brake modifications. The ride is simply amazing. It set the front down a bit. It now has a bit of a rake look. I still kinda ponder on cutting a half coil off the rear springs, but most people tell me they like the look.
Pics all over my sig and such. If you want more, let me know.

Not trying to hijack.
Joe what was needed in putting the chin spoiler on your 85? I am looking into doing it on mine.
I have the C springs on my 88 GT. It had a little rear end sag to it. When I installed the C springs the rear sat higher than the front. Much higher. So I ended up cutting the stock springs. I wish mine looked like Joe's car. I now have Saleen Racecraft springs in the 88. I plan on using the rear springs from the C spring set in my 85 and cutting a little out of the front springs. I personally don't want it in the weeds. My 88 was too low for my taste. All of my buddies liked it though.

Actually, the 'B' springs and the 'C' springs are different rates:
B-- variable rate front (425/530) and variable rear (200/300)
C-- linear front (650) and variable rear (200/300)
They have the same rear spring rate, but the front is considerably stiffer with the C's, especially since they are a linear rate spring.
The B springs are very close to stock '85 to '93 GT spring rates.

Silver85. I pretty much went by the post linked above. I did however beef up the middle and front sides with metal brackets just to get the curve I wanted in the spoiler. But I took a steep driveway alittle fast and scraped up etc te spoiler. But its a good mod.
Back to the springs. I have lakewood drag shocks in the rear which dont help with the ride quality. But its livable. The fronts are just replacement struts nothing special. Again not helping the ride.
I have the C springs F/R with isolators etc just as they should be. I would like to have a little rake rear being higher. I think the muscle car jacked up rear looks cool. Not extreme just slight. But as it sits I have the opposite. The front is alittle higher. Which at times I think looks kinda good. But 90% of the time I dont. So Im gonna play with it and drop the front by a 1/4 coil or something to start off with. M only worry is the alignment. I dont really wanna buy CC plates. But I guess if I have to I obvisouly will.
Maybe some of you can advise me. Those of you with B or C springs who front sits alittle lower than mine. Are you running CC plates?
Good luck to yall.

just something to consider...
i remember reading that stock LTD LX springs are the same as "C" Springs... so if there's a junkyard near you thats a cheaper route...

Cs and Koni Reds
C/C plates
Love 'em
Lowered it way more than they said it would
I think they said 5/8- 7/8 and it was more like 1 1/4-1 1/2
I took the suspension apart this winter
Cs and Konis are still good so they are going back in
C/C plates were toast though
Gotta get some new ones

I have Maximum Motorsports pieces. My decision was because I wanted more adjustment, not because I had to.

Ah yes I should add that I didn't NEED the C/C plates with the C springs
They were added later because I wanted more adjustment

Fat chance trying to find an LTD LX in the junkyard. They only made 3260 of them and half of them have probably been crushed.

True... That's what Moog is for! Buy a new set of Moog springs for a 1985 LTD LX. Unfortunetly when you talk to the parts store(s) they'll have the FOX LTD listed as an LTD 2 and you'll have to tell them it has a V8. The set should cost you less than 100 bux.
HOw do you think the rear LTD LX Moog replacement springs will sit on a Mustang? Will the rear sit up like a cats Arse? I'd like to toss the C rated springs in that GT but I don't want to lower it. So I was thinking of the LTD LX springs. I know the fronts will work... but still not sure about the rear.
