You're looking for the hood scoop?

The scoop is a stock piece found on Cobras and 82 Gt's and such... Someone has one for sale under a "Turbo Parts car" thread in the parts for sale section..
there are ton of scoops on ebay thanks for the heads up.

i'm making a ram air kit too...but mines not gonna be from the scoop until i get my 351 finished...i'm making mine from some stiff 4" dryer ducting and house ventilation pieces that hook up from my pace car nose and then run em in to the dual snorkel via the stock tubes in the fenders...i'm still working on it, but i need to make some revisions in the design, and i might end up using some 3.5" PVC or ABS....but i need to get those flex elbows(not sure xactly what theyre called) that hook the dual snorkel to the tubes in the fenders...i'll shoot for some pics when finished
ive got alot of ideas going through my head, also realized i need my inake first because i dont knopw how much taller its gona be. its the eldebrok 15-6500 rpm air gap. i couldnt find specs on how much taller it than the stock intake. so i guess ill just have to break down and get it.
i want the filter to stick through the hood alittle bit atleast on the front where the hood slopes down and maybe almost even with the hood on the back. with the scoop over top of it.
almost like shaker deal but everything is built into the hood. gota figure out how to seal the incoming air to the filter and keep hot air out. need spome kinda flange underneath the filter that my ducting can make decent seal on.
or maybe not seal it so that the incoming air can also get to the intake. i dunno. all i know is i had the saw out and was ready to cut the hol for the filter already have good center mark in the hood wear the filter bolt deal dented the hood, cause i haded had it adjusted just right to clear the hood when shut. im think 14 3/4" should give me plenty of room to be able to get the hood off and off around the filter with some kinda airpassage ducting deal around it. maybe 15 would be better.
blah intake first then a hole in the hood to get it to clear, or maybe hoodless while i try to figure out what i wanna do with the amount of height the intake adds.
im off to bed guys have a good night and thanks for the place to think things through.
thanks
