anybody know differences between 79-81 carpet and 82-93?

looked at a couple places (mustangs unlimited, year one, and latemodelresto) prices vary +/- 10 bucks but are all made by ACC. only 2 of them( mu and year1) say there 2 different part numbers? anyone know anything?

:D the carpet in my daughters 82 hatch is out of my old 88 coupe if that helps,only difference as I recall is the 88 is more plush :D

You do have to be careful... I installed a coupe carpet into my old 'vert & there was a 2" gap between the kick panels & carpet. The holes for seat belt's in the rear floorboard are about 1" off, etc.

I think if you get a carpet for a hatch, from a hatch; you'll be fine. Same goes with the other models of Mustangs.....

As far as I know, cabin carpets the same, the hatch carpet is different since Ford went to a split rear seat in 83...
