Rear louvers ...

Does anybody know those louvers ? I guess they are aftermarket (there's a "Shadow!" sticker on llower slat). They were bought by a french working in USA in '79. He removed them when back in France as louvers where not street legal.

I have a doubt about how to install them. It's fixed via two articulated plates on the upper side, and screw on two other plates on the lower.
The lower plates looks like this :

I guess the rounded edge should be facing upper-inward, but i have a doubt. So if someone has them an could guide me ... the previous owner don't remember how they were installed.

Those are cool looking. I have the instuctions on how to mount the Ford Louvers if you want.

Those are aluminum louvers. They are a bit bigger than Ford ones, don't disturb rear visibility too much and don't require removal of the rear wiper.

I plan using exterior-usage double-side tape to install them. If it's not strong enougth, i might use some two-component resin glue.

He has a Pace Car.... as far as I know most if not all Pace Cars had a rear wiper.

Most pace cars did not have rear wipers. It seems to be a regional thing with the Mustangs that do have them. You see very few of them in the south.

I love the louver look. I activelly looked for a set some months ago but found nothing under a couple hundred bucks. And they also were not sure how they would fit on GT hatches. Do they provide much shade for the interior? That would be my main reason for them. Thanks.
