I am confused about these parts. I just redid my interior and it seems that these parts were never there. Can someone show me some pics on these 2 parts?
Thanks,

Which Rear seat bracket are you reffering to, the bottom clips or the upper portion? I have pictures but no access to them right now.

the bottom clips. I have the bolts sticking out of the lower side of the seatbacks but nothing to connect them to.

So, I'm assuming this is a hatchback? And you are reffering to the bottom part of the seat backs (upper portion of the back seat), NOT the part that you seat your ass on? And you are talking about the "poles" I guess you could call them, that go into the interior quarter panels? Those don't Bolt onto anything.
The Backings themselves only have two small nuts holding them to the floor. Then the screws tha go through the carpet bracket behind the actual seats.
The bottom part of the rear seats (that you sit on) just push into two clips on the floor..
Hope that helps a bit.
As for the stereo bracket, it should be an "L" shaped bracket that only uses two nuts also. One to the back of the stereo, the other to the bottom of the stereo track.. If that makes any sense... Let me try to find some pictures if I can, I'm at my moms place babysitting, and all my pictures are on my own computer which is 200 miles away :?

you are correct in that we are talking about the same thing. I dont understand how the "poles" as you put it go into the interior panels and nothing else. i cant imagine that there are no brackets that hold them in place. otherwise whats the point? pics would be soooo helpful.

If I find any pictures I'll post them on here :P
But I'm sure the set I grabbed to put in my coupe never had anything holding them... I know they don't now hahah!

Uhhmmm, those things bolt into place. One large bolt holds the pivot onto the body and the two hinge arms are bolted to the folding half of the back seat and that plate thing that comes down and folds flush when the seats are folded forward.

I have the brackets themselves in a box someplace. I'll have to dig them out and snap some pics, but it might be a few days, they are BURIED.

that would be great but just so we are on the same page...i am looking for the bracket for the bottom outside of the rear seatback. mine is a bolt that sticks out of the outside bracket that goes to the window sides of the car.

Yeah, there is one hinged bracket on each side of the car that bolts to the inside of the quarter panel and there is another pivot bracket that goes in between the two seatbacks. I have a complete set in a box somewhere in the garage. I just saw them last week when I was consolidating boxes of mustang crap.

Sure Potsie, these are spares I was going to eBay in the coming weeks anyway. I just put a grey interior in my '82 GT and these are leftovers from the donor '86. Selling in the tech forums is verboten so just PM me if you need them.
