Sweet, I love my turbines! I got them on my car that I bought for $450 lol.
I think I'm going to paint the inserts satin black like "Marz" did. It looked really good.

I had them and ended up selling them to the kids down the street for $100 with tires. I ended up liking the look of the 10-holes better. Still, I saw a great picture of them on a capri and they sure looked perfect. I think painting them black will improve the look...be sure to post a picture when done. I am tempted to paint my 10-holes black like a CHP of old...my spare is a black 10hole CHP, hence the thought...

What most people call the turbine rims, ie 87-90 GT wheels:

93 Cobra wheels, sometimes called turbines:

Gotta remember, in Canada, the GT was called a Cobra.
Thus...Cobra Turbines is born.

The Canadian Cobra!
Did not know that. When HiddenGem posted about Cobra Turbines, I assumed a 93 Cobra.
Not to hijack, but did they have a 93 Cobra in Canada? Was it called a Cobra?

All 82 - 93 "GT's" were "Cobra's" here. In 93 they also had the "Cobra R" though. ;)
This one lady that lives by my mom has an all original 86 Cobra that I've been trying to get her to sell to me, but she's "restoring" it
I guess it has sentimental value to her, so I stopped bugging her  (I saw her everyday a "Mac's" (7/11 kinda thing), cause she worked there. This was before I moved back home with my dad.

No, the '93 Cobra was avaiable in the US only.
Ford marketed the '84-'91 GT as the "Mustang Cobra GT" in Canada to keep the rights to the name. Some got the little Cobra sticker on the hatch, and some didn't. They are exactly the same as a US GT, with the exception of that optional sticker that makes people think their $1500 GT is something special and worth $10,000. Insurance company's here like to play that game too.
They quit the name game for the '92 model, so it wouldn't be confused with the '93 Cobra and Cobra R.

The '93 SVT Mustang Cobra (or Cobra "R") was not avilable in Canada.

The '90 Limited Edition LX 5.0L Convertible (commonly, albeit incorrectly called the "7-UP" convertibles) had them. And Thunderbirds and Cougars (not sure which years) too.

Yup. 87-88 Cougar XR7s specifically. They made them in standard silver and also with gold and maroon inserts with matching cat's head center caps.

Actually, they were only on the '88 XR7, and they also came in black. '87 XR7's had 10 holes on them.

No, there wasn't. In Canada, '84 through '92 models years were the only years that the GT was officially called a "Cobra GT".
