I'll try and post pics tommorow or wednsday, 'cause I know that will be the first response I get! :D

Anyway, I managed to free up the motor, clean the engine bay, install my Performer RPM cam which I got new from a friend for free 8) , timing cover, waterpump, balancer, shiny new UD pulleys, solid mm's, sort out the wiring and install the starter relay and VR. I also intalled the cross member and mounted the tranny.

My GT40P's and Summit(Flowtech) LT's also arrived, I mocked them up and it looks like the #4 tube will barely clear the plug, but I think once I cut the flange and mess around with the slip fits, I should have enough room to use a 90* boot and a heat sleeve.

On weds. I'm going to get the duraspark box mounted, install the shift kit and shift lever, prep and paint the headers.

After that, I'm doing some light porting on the heads, installing the new valve springs, and installing them, along with the carb and intake, onto the motor.

After I pay some bills, I need a rad, battery, - cable, hoses and fluids, and she should be redy to fire for the first time in 5 years! :woowoo:

sounds liek you have your work cut out for you. It is always nice to have the parts to do the work. toooften we dream about what we want to do while we wait for the money and time to do it. Glad to hear you are making some progress.

I'm collecting all of the parts and going one step at a time. I still have to replace the front brakes(the rears still look new, go figure.), get new rubber, as I have 10 holes on the rear and 14" 8 holes on the front and the rubber's only good for a test spin or two, h-pipe and cat-back, new '79-'82 taillights, and that's just to make her roadworthy!

After that, I need a '79-'82 bumper cover, paint and body, rebuild the t-loc, and swap the 3.45's for 3.73's, and install my new Control arms and subframes.

I would also like to add adjustable struts too.

My goal was to have it all done by July, but if i can keep it up she might end up on the road before then.

I promise, pics tommorow night! :D

I have nice 10 holes, I just need new rubber. I'm 95% sure I'm going with Cooper Cobra's.

The mis-matched front and rear wheels are just so i have something to move it around on that will still hold air!

Thank's for the offer though. :D

BTW, Love your ragtop! :tu:

I kept looking for another 4eye, and whenever I found one around here it was either stupidly expensive, or sold ou from under me. I also couldn't bring myself to send mine to the scrap yard. My wife finally convinced me to take a shot at getting her going again after a friend of her family offered to do body and paint for next to nothing. :D

Plus I received a new credit card at the right time!
