I can't figure it out fellas...Any advice is greatly appreciated...Sorry this is in the BS forum,but the tech forum is usually a ghost town:(...

You mean with the button release? There is a cable in the back of the car in the rear of the hatch area that you can pull if it doesn't work electrically. The best thing you could do is pull the latch off of the door when you get it open, that POS doesn't stop thieves anyway. Someone bent my opening it by force.

Yea,was hoping to avoid that but might as well...Can't stand having to reach over to open the damn thing when getting gas anyway..

I am having the opposite problem... mine won't latch o hold the door shut.

my 89 used to blow the fuse for the gasdoor all the time, so i used to pull the door open. doesnt take much.. it was a 300$ car, i didnt give a crap what i did to the car...

NMine latches but kinda sticks out, it always bothered me... I pull mine open...stupid latch...

Take the latch bracket off of the door, mine fit alot better after I did.

mine just opens, it had a fuel door and a hatch button in the glove box but neither was hooked up.

when i had that problem the wire was un hooked on mine hooked the wire back up and it helped. then it broke so i just pulled it open just like the other guys on here have.

Just a fuse...Got it fixed..But I went ahead and moved the latch over and just open it by hand...Alot less annoying than reaching over :x ....Thanx again fellas..

in my old mustang, the button stopped functioning so i went ahead and removed the tab that held the fuel door shut and simply opened it the old-fashioned way, by hand
